Congratulations to the RPM ToolKit™ Repair Shop Contest Winners for the First Quarter of 2012!

What an exciting start to the new year!  As we tally the final numbers for the first quarter 2012 Top Performing Shop, Service Writer and Technician, here are the results for the first three months of 2012 for the RPM ToolKit™ Contest! (See the Top Performing Service Writers and Top Performing Technicians.)

For the First Quarter 2012 (the months of January, February and March), we’d like to congratulate Owner John and the team at Real Pro Auto (28th St.) for being the Top Performing shop of the quarter!

Real Pro Auto in Wyoming, MI, got off to a great start in 2012, beating some strong competition to take the win.  Finishing in second place is Motoring Specialists from Vacaville, CA.  Finishing in third for the second straight quarter is Donald Brown Auto (6001) from Albuquerque, NM.

By winning the first quarterly prize of 2012, Real Pro Auto has made themselves the frontrunner for the Top Performing Shop of 2012.  As the winners, they will receive the top prize — a pizza party for the entire shop, six RPM ToolKit shirts, 3 VISA $100 gift certificates, 6 $50 VISA gift certificates, and a beautiful certificate of achievement to display in their shop!  The other shops in the top three will receive professional certificates to hang in their shop.

The rest of the top five field was a tight race, with fewer than 20 points separating first and fifth place:

Rank Shop Name
1 Real Pro Auto – 28th St.
2 Motoring Specialists
3 Donald Brown (6001)
4 Harding’s Garage
5 Mufflers and More

In order to ensure an extremely fair contest for every shop, participants have to meet a number of criteria and are ranked according to several factors, including Jobs Written per Repair Order, Parts Gross Profit Percentage, Labor Gross Profit Percentage, Total Gross Profit Percentage, Average Hours Billed per Technician, and Average Hours Billed per Repair Order
