Congratulations to the 2012 First Quarter Winners of the RPM ToolKit™ Top Performing Service Writer Contest!

Here are the numbers from the first three months of 2012….with new service writers joining the contest every day, the competition has never been stronger and the winners have never had to work harder! (See the Top Performing Shops and Top Performing Technicians.)

For the First Quarter of 2012 (the months of January, February and March), the Top Performing Service Writer was Peter Jr. of TLC Auto & Truck in Farmingdale, NY!

Peter Jr. edged out Matt of D’s Transmission to take the top spot.  Finishing in a close third was Lee from Sauder’s Automotive.

By winning the first quarterly prize of the new year, Peter Jr. and the team at TLC Auto & Truck will take home the top prize — a pizza party for the whole shop, a sharp-looking RPM ToolKit shirt, a VISA gift certificate for $200 and a beautiful certificate of achievement to hang in their shop. The other service writers in the top three will receive professional certificates to hang in their shop.

The entire top five field was a tight race; fewer than 15 points separated first and fifth place:

Rank Service Writer Shop Name
1 Peter Jr. TLC Auto & Truck
2 Matt D’s Transmission & Auto Tech
3 Lee Sauder’s Automotive
4 Alex Kearney Garage
5 Peter 4Auto

In order to ensure an extremely fair contest for every service writer, participants have to meet a number of criteria and are ranked according to several factors, including Jobs Written per Repair Order, Closing Ratio, Average Daily Billed Hours, and Daily Hours Billed.
